Chez Lucotte - Vandenesse-en-Auxois

Went for a lunch at Chez Lucotte. It's a restaurant where the locals have their lunch. A lunch which consists of 4 courses. On Wednesday it was steak with fries. A salad as starter, cheese platter as intermediate course and a piece of pie as desert. The owner is incredibly nice. The staff very helpful. The restaurant is decorated with automobile object and old motorcycles. Very nice for the enthusiast. The surroundings are also beautiful. The boat locks are situated next to the restaurant.

When I was working in Pouilly-en-Auxois for 2 weeks, I was taken to this restaurant for lunch & what an excellent place to eat!The food was freshly made on the premises & it changes every day & it tasted delicious. People from all walks of life eat here & I can see why they do. The location is next to the Burgundy canal & close to Chateauneuf-en-Auxois & is very picturesque, especially in the summertime. I highly recommended this place & I would love to go again!

This was one of the highlights of our recent six week tour of France (during which we are lunch out most days!). Not haute cuisine but good honest local cooking. Very good food and very friendly service - but be prepared to mix it with the locals. It's the sort of place the UK needs in spades. The decor is motor-sport orientated and the area is great for walking and cycling along the Canal de Bourgogne. In fact, what a great place for lunch as you cycle past!

Déjeuner dans un cadre original, photos et motos. Patron et personnel sympathiques. Repas simple mais très bon, produits frais.

Ein wunderbares Frühstück mit leckerem Kaffee und hauseigener Aprikosenmarmelade. Eine der besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Wunderbare Atmosphäre und nette Menschen, die das Restaurant betreiben. Leider hatten wir keine Zeit für das Mittagessen, aber das ist ja ein Grund wieder zu kommen.
