The patio is the ideal spot for dining on clear days, with friendly servers who prioritize cleanliness. As a vegetarian, the only burger option available was the Buffalo Chickpea Burger, made with a chickpea patty and served with fries or salad and a jalapeno. The burger is large, satisfying, and priced at $13.85 after tax. I have enjoyed it multiple times and highly recommend it! Be sure to give it a try.
It was okay. I haven't eaten at a university diner since I graduated in 1992, and back then it was just cafeteria food. I was disappointed that they were sold out of the pork bites in homemade honey garlic sauce that I wanted, but they were able to make the wings in the sauce instead, which was great since I don't like spicy food. I also ordered the farmer's greens to be healthy. The honey garlic sauce was fantastic, although the wings were small but tasty, not worth the $10 price tag. The salad was large and filling, but also overpriced at $9. The beer was cold and the server was knowledgeable about the specials. The restaurant was a bit loud, likely due to its location in a university building not designed for soundproofing. Overall, the service was great and the food met my needs. If I find myself at UBC again for business, I would consider returning.
Love this place! it’s a great way to spend your student meal plan without having to eat cafeteria food. so glad that we have this option on campus, as the food is always delicious and the servers are always nice. shoutout to our server who always makes us laugh I can’t remember his name, but he tends to rock a hawaiian shirt. COVID safety is definitely taken seriously here, and I haven’t been disappointed once. the ratings should be higher!
This restaurant is part of the University of British Columbia and all I can say is lucky students. The restaurant has an upmarket feel whilst having a reasonably priced menu. There were seven of us and our Server (David) greeted us and made us feel very at home. We had just enjoyed a walk around the nearby Botanical Garden (and Tree Canopy Walk) so we were all hungry and the portions were perfect.
The restaurant was my first dinnerplace in Canada and I only can recommend it...nice staff and good food
