Tacofino - Vancouver

Fantastic fish tacos! Good prices and very good service. Nice location. Highly recommend! A great place to take the entire family.

I can't believe that this place has been around for at least a couple of years and I just ate here recently. Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty but were beyond tasty. The 3 of us shared a huge serving of nachos loaded with tomatoes and cheese on homemade nachos. I loved the selection of tacos ranging from vegetarian to pork. One of us had the eggplant taco accompanied by sweet and spicy cabbage, kale slaw, lime crema and cilantro. Another person had the vegetable scrapple taco which was squash, chickpea fritter, lime crema and herb salad. The third had the fish taco made of pacific cod, salsa fresca and chipotle mayo. Fish was deep fried in a light batter and wasn't greasy. All were decent portions and all yummy. There's a good selection of tacos whether you like chicken, beef, vegetables or fish. It's all fresh. All I can say is 'FINALLY a GOOD taco place in Vancouver!' as there aren't many Mexican restaurants in Vancouver. (my prayers have been answered!).Great ambience inside and it's a busy place. There's seating outdoors too which is great on a warm summer evening. On one side of the restaurant, they offer take out. Not far from the Vancouver Convention Centre - about 15 minutes walk maximum on West Cordova. Across the street from Army & Navy store. Parking could be a bit of a challenge. But it's worth it.Can't wait to return to try the other tacos!

There is a special elegance to a good taco joint and Tacofino nails it. We shared fish tacos, vegetable scrapple, octopus tostada, and nachos. All were excellent. The seasoning and cremas made every taco unique and delicious. Staff are attentive and the vibe is hip and fun. Wine is meh - maybe stick with beer and cocktails

Ate here with a friend after she had had a 'delicious' burrito as a takeaway lunch on a previous visit. We were seated quickly and there was a lot of choice on the menu which our server took the time to explain. The beers did not have much detail, but there was a reasonable choice. We had the nachos for starters, which were piled high with the freshest tasting tomatoes, even if a lot of the cheese had melted away to almost non existence. The tacos were delicious for main course and we had two each which was more than enough after so many nachos. Reasonably priced, quite quick service and yummy, fresh tasting food.

I'm sorry Mexicano, Sydney, these are the absolute best taco's I've ever eaten! Without a doubt Taco Fino totally rocked our world. EVERYTHING was superb!
