Parthenon Supermarket and Deli

I was making an appetizer for dinner and stopped by to buy some Macedonian feta and fresh oregano & basil. The feta was very reasonable $ and the spices were conveniently packaged in small amounts in resealable bags. Great deli!

Love this place - it is a global shopping place with food from everywhere ; near and far. Always open, always friendly. Charming place with everything from Halloumi to multiple oils and chamomile flowers and nuts and seeds in but. I learn something every time I go !

We shop here all the time. Great selection of Greek food. Try the cold cut meats. Very reasonable prices. Best place to buy feta some good breads

The deli counter at Parthenon makes the best spanakopita I've ever tasted. They will heat it up for you to go too. Lots of interesting canned and jarred European foods in the grocery area too.

Parthenon Supermarket and Delicatessen has a nice quiet dining area and arguably the best soup deal in town. They make their soups daily from scratch and almost always have one or two vegan soups. My favourite ones are the lentil, potato leek, and the white bean soups. They also have tasty cabbage rolls, rice pilaf, tofu stew, veggies. Free parking in the back. They make fresh hummus, tabouli, olive pesto, babaganoush, lima beans, grilled eggplant, artichoke dip, a large selection of olives, bulk nuts, seeds and dried fruits and much more. Conveniently located in Kitsilano on West Broadway and Balaclava. Their soups are the best kept secret in Vancouver. For only $2.50 you get a huge bowl of delicious soup, while other restaurants all over town charge $8.00 for half the amount. In other words, four times the price! Great value for the money.
