Orchard & the Sea - Vancouver

Wandering around looking for a place to eat in Gastown we were a bit dissapointed with most menu's and how crowded it was. But then we found this place. How great this was! We ordered the cider flight and three tapas which was more than enough. The chorizo burger is amazing. Very friendly staff. They treat the cider like a sommelier.

My wife and I were roaming around Chinatown and then Gastown, looking for a place to eat. We figured that we would probably end up in one of the bigger places in Gastown, and decided to walk a little way from the main square, where the signage about 13 ciders on tap caught our eye - that sounded unusual, so we thought we'd go in for a cider or two.In addition to the ciders, which were domestic and international, and not the usual mass produced ones you might think of, they had a modest tapas menu. We had the tortilla, which was delicious, a very large portion of mixed olives and peppers, and cured spanish ham. The ham was really delicious, and now I think I want to buy one of those legs of ham someday. One thing that we recommend is to try a flight of ciders (3 decent sized glasses) and get the staff to pick them for you. We left full and satisfied. I think you will like this relaxing and interesting place.

We loved this place! They had so many amazing ciders. What really got us though was the food. At first look the menu seemed underwhelming and I was thinking we would have to go someone else for dinner after but when the food came it was all amazing! We got the omelette, the manchego bread and the chorizo burger. The burger was the best thing ever! I almost licked the plates. Food was well priced. Some ciders were costly but also the bottles were large. We will go back for sure.
