Bidrage med feedbackThe service was very good, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was average at best, for the price they charge one would expect higher standards. We saw what we believe was the manager cough into her hands a couple of times and she never washed her hands which was very worrisome. Overall we don’t think we would be going back to Nox and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Is not your usual Canadian Italian restaurant flavor. However, food was still good. Had the mix and match bruschetta, the Halibut, Scallop and Crispy Pork Belly. Interesting plating and food tasted palatable. The Tiramisu was not the usual one that we are so familiar with. This was the highlight of the dinner. Good service staff.
The food was pretty good. We enjoyed it but the service was very slow. We received our drinks after we had already finished our appetizer. I could see them sitting on the counter, and about three servers walked by them without bringing them to us.
Restaurant seems not to know it’s identity or goals. Not an Italian restaurant, service seemed inexperienced, dishes oddly prepared and described, and overcooked. Bar service and drinks excellent, thankfully. Would not return.
First the service was great. other reviews have complained about the service, but we found it excellent to be. professional, friendly, attentive and yet patient if appropriate, competent, knowledgeable. the only deficiency was small (see below) and was the kitchen, not the wait staff. delicious and interesting cocktails to start. each court was good, at least, and some were excellent. my date didn't like the carpaccio, but that was more a raw meat. I thought it was very good. my favorite was the pear and gorgonzola salad I thought was good, but nothing special. I thought the pears didn't really pull her weight. the gnocchi was my main dish and it was excellent. only the correct size for how rich it was, and the aromen together from beginning to end. I have not tried all my courts; she ordered the dunes from prix fixe and she reported satisfaction with everyone. Amus-bouche was nice to start and we had cicchetti to begin that were small but very tasty. I read another review, which was overly scorched, but that was not my experience at all. I have left food on munolare couple of tellers, and never finished wanting more. the weeping list was simple, but seemed to me good to decide, but I'm not a weeping critic. I asked for a pairing recommendation and was very happy with what was offered to try for my selection. the only hiccup was that they ran out of the court that chose my date for their main, and did not recognize until they began to place. it was offered alternative (if not the one she wanted) from the whole menu and a complementary glass wein. we thought that would be acceptable, but we are generally quite tolerant with these kinds of mistakes. it's hard to run a kitchen, and campaigns like dune out make the dings not easier. it was expensive (which is not in vancouver in these days), but not excessive, comparatively. All-in-all, very good. will repeat.
