Bidrage med feedbackSuch a delectable parfait with matcha pudding jelly on the bottom, then layered with whipped cream, corn flakes, warabi mochi parfait, red bean paste, chiffon cake, green tea ice cream AND syrup. Whew what a mouthful, both figuratively and literally. <br/ <br/ Seriously though, probably the best parfait I’ve ever had in Vancouver. If you haven’t had warabi mochi before, it’s traditional Japanese dessert that’s jelly like and powdered with sweet toasted soybean flour on the outside. It’s a little different than mochi as it’s made from bracken starch instead of glutinous rice, yet as deliciously chewy. It’s an absolute treat and definitely the highlight of this dessert. Pairs extremely well with all the other ingredients
I came here since I saw the reviews were excellent. We ordered many cups of matcha to go. We only wanted to wait in the sitting area, but the lady stated you couldn't because you had ordered to go. We also provide tips. In comparison, the other cafe was really friendly and did not say anything like this. We're a little upset and not return again
I know Nana's green tea is famous for their matcha, still I really wanted to try their hojicha parfait instead lol. The parfait was really good, I love the richness of the tea flavor from the hojicha ice cream. Theres so much ingredients in the parfait, like roasted green tea jelly, bean paste and mochi balls. The bitterness of the green tea jelly balances the sweetness from the ice cream and the bean paste. It's just very satisfying eating so many different textures all in one parfait! I had to order a green tea before I go just because I can't leave this place without trying their famous green tea. I absolutely love everything I had and would definitely come back again!
Nana is one of my favourite cafe/ dessert place. We got the fall special sweet potato latte with mochi balls. It was delicious and just a little bit on the sweeter side. The warm latte paired with a bit of whipping cream on top is perfect for a cold fall day like today. We also got the adzuki matcha cake. It was just okay, and the matcha flavour is too mild to detect.
Matcha lover’s destination. The matcha ice cream has a deep flavor in tea. Hojicha tart was alright but I think ice cream and parfait was better than the tart.
