Lickerish Restaurant & Lounge

I just moved nearby to this restaurant/lounge and it has become my new favourite watering hole and happy hour place. Try the mashed potato spring rolls. It's also fun late night as they have a lot of cocktails and shooters on the menu. They also play a lot of old school hip hop which always makes for a fun time.

I was taken here by a friend, met Bianca the bartender/manager extraordinaire, who is open and friendly to ALL her customers! I ordered some fries, and they were well prepared, and tasty, not greasy at all! So when in Vancouver, stop in the music is retro, and the location can't be beat!

This place seems to have very mixed reviews re loud music, decor and a thug like atmosphere but as retirees we really enjoyed it! We were there during happy hour and had the best yam fries ever and delicious chicken tacos. Most of the appetizers are half price and pints for $4. Sure the decor is a little dark but we enjoyed the atmosphere and our server was very personable!

We were out for a walk and looking for a restaurant that we would entice us to return. As we were on Davie Street, we had lots of choices. As it was a nice day, so we wanted to sit outside. We checked the menu at Lickerish and it appealed to us. It also has outside seating and there was a booth available. We arrived during happy hour which worked for us as we were fine with appetizers and a drink. We tried the tempura yam fries, mango coconut chicken skewers and the Baja soft tacos. We thought all of these were great choices as we really enjoyed them. We almost ordered the Korean ribs, but our server thought that might be too much food and if it wasn't we could always order it later. Good advice. We didn't need to order more as what we ordered was plenty enough for us. Our server was busy, but she made the effort to get back to us to see how we were doing and to ensure everything was okay. We didn't see the inside of the restaurant, but the food and service was so good we will return.

The decor is Red like lickerish! Ashley is our server very nice. R&B music playing. Casual atmosphere and kinda quiet for a Friday night. We ordered a couple of cocktails and two appies - chicken wings and Korean ribs. The bathrooms are clean bright and mirrors are in the bathroom stalls for the women at least. Interesting. Good vibe - gets busy later according to Ashley.
