Hubbub - Vancouver

A short menu is a good sign: this place does simple, well. In fact, really well. We weren't that hungry so each had a side salad with a protein added (I had the vegetarian version and it was great) and we shared a wheat beer. Inexpensive and tasty lunch :)Friendly service, good vibe.

Fast service, nice takeout bowl, but pulled pork too salty for me. Looks great though... Oh, and the staff prepping food seemed to enjoy glaring and commenting on clientele, which was a turn off. Overall, I would still go back and try something else.

I picked up a dozen pulled pork and chicken sandwiches for a business lunch meeting. The sandwiches tasted great, were very big, and packed with meat. Ordering was easy. I placed the order on line and pre-paid with my credit card. They had all the food ready at the time I requested. The guys at the counter were friendly and efficient. I would come back again.

Met by friendly counter person, my friend ordered the sandwich with the sausage. It is served on a nice baguette style bun. I didn't try it but my friend was making noises of approval and I believe the sandwiches are their signature item. My review is primarily o the salad I ordered with the marinated chicken. It came with lots of chicken but I found the pieces too chunky and not very flavourful. I'm not sure if it wasn't marinated long enough or that's it. The rest of the salad was mostly chopped lettuce. I had earlier this week had a salad at the nearby Railtown cafe and no comparison to the content and freshness received there.

I always order the prawn sandwich here and it is usually really good. Their secret sauce is a great complement to the sandwich. I frequent here once every 10 days as I live close by.
