Bidrage med feedbackI tried takeout from House of Tofu Soup near Lougheed Town Center for the first time today.
My wife enjoys soup during the winter, so we decided to dine at this restaurant on a Saturday night after moving into a nearby location.
A few years ago, I visited House of Tofu soup when it first opened in Richmond. I did not enjoy my experience at all. (Please note that the address provided is incorrect.)
Servers there sometimes have a hard time listening to what I ordered. I always need to confirm with them if they heard me correctly. And many times, their tone were pretty harsh. Server are not attentive at all. They would rather talking at the back, instead of checking customers to see if they need anything, Many times you need to go up front to them if you need anything from them.Soup there is nice. Very good value. Around 10 bucks and you get rice, soup, side dishes...etc
We were first served small appetiser dishes of kimchi (nice and strong), pickles, seaweed... Many of their main dishes come with a hot tofu soup served in a heat retaining, heavy container. The dishes themselves have various combinations of meat, veg ,tofu, rice or noodle, spicy or subtle, but authentic tasting, well balanced and DELICIOUS! They also offer 'japchae', which is a sweet potato based noodle, nicely elastic, flavoured with sauce and sesame oil... if you feel like something different. Excellent value!
