Bidrage med feedbackWe come here several times for panini and cappuccino. Their paninis are really good and quite a generous portion. It is definitely authentic Italian cafe place where you can grab gelato ice cream also. Tried a few flavours of gelato and they are good. It is one of the places we normally go to when we are in the mood for paninis.
I love this Italian cafe this is the real and what a coffee shop on Commercial Drive should be.Charming Italian owners great coffee great Italian pastries. They are always so welcoming and warm. Treat you like family.Always a great experience.
Posted on April 9, 2015 by mag_mei When my friend said we would be going to a cafe for ice cream I didn’t expect much. A cafe doesn’t usually specialize in my favourite frozen dessert, and a cafe on commercial drive wouldn’t be anything special. Or so I thought. I came for the ice cream and will be back for the setting. From the exterior I didn’t expect much. The flashy giant ice cream cone told us we were at the right place, but not to what we would be getting inside. But through those doors was a wonderland. I swivelled my head around trying to take capture all that stood before me. It is pretty obvious when its someone’s first time here: the look of surprise in their eyes, the rotating of their neck to take it all in, and the flashing of their camera to keep a note of it all. My description will not do this place justice, even before you read it I suggest you check it our for yourself. There was so much to see, some of it was clutter, most of it themed, an assault of stuff. It was heavy with a traditional Italian look and feel. The music, the people, and the decor. Italian flags, faux marble statues, running fountains, fresco ceilings, red and white checkered table cloths on tables, and jars of preserved vegetable and dried pasta set the tone. The counter to the left spanned the entire cafe. It was divided by sections, each counter with its own menu. You head to what you want and place your order using its specific menu above, but when it comes to making a payment, it is all done up front. All above was tiled roofing with real shingles and real bricks. They helped to differentiate between the separated sections. Closest to the door was their coffee bar, where artisan coffee and gourmet teas would be brewed and steeped. And where homemade pastries and warm cookies would be served.
Coffee and biscotti. Had two americanos, and a fine chocolate coated biscotti excellent.
These guys are great! Best coffee beans in town, once you try their coffee you won’t buy anywhere else.
