Browns Socialhouse Nanaimo North

Found our way here on Sunday evening for a later dinner (around 9pm . The restaurant was pretty much empty but this wasn?t a sign of poor food or service because both were great. The house wine (white was tasty for the price, long island iced tea was OK and the espresso martini was a win. We started with nachos and truth is the nachos could have used a bit more in an oven but still great flavour fresh toppings. We ordered the Tuna Poke bowl, impossible burger, veggie burger traditional burger. Couple with yam fries and another with plain fries. Overall ? great experience and our waitress ?V? (we think he name was! was a riot and a ton of fun.

They say they have parking underground but it?s like $9 for 1.5hours. Save yourself the money trouble park on the street. After being seated and served drinks we waited over 45 min for 2 appetizers but to our surprise our main course arrived and still no appetizers. Then after another 5min appetizers arrived. So bizarre! Anyway didn?t eat them even though they offered on the house, it just affects the experience. Then the fries and gravy were cold and we sent back, never to return again. They didn?t even bother to replace. We ask for spoons for dessert which got forgotten for 5min. Atmosphere was decent but yeah our experience was not as we would have liked.

The social fries are to die, all thanks to the special sauce (pink spicy with Yam, and white garlicy with normals) and the perfect cooking point! The beer is ok and food in general, very tasty! Service with the best energy made it a full experience.

It was hopping in here before a big Whitecaps game but Mia was a pleasure and was quick to take our order and kept us posted when the bar was busy. Food came out quickly and was exactly how we ordered. We all had burgers which were excellent. Good drink offerings.

Fantastic food great service very clean restaurant and could see the very clean kitchen area. Would highly recommend.
