Breakfast Table - Vancouver

Went for breakfast here with a friend - both of us new to Vancouver. I had the smoked trout and she had the salmon. Fish cooked beautifully on both dishes and poached eggs cooked to order (perfectly runny!).Ceasars were nice and spicy - the peppered bacon is delicious! Service friendly and prompt.We arrived around 10am and didn't have to queue but there was a wait line by the time we were leaving an hour later.

This place is rated the #1 breakfast/brunch spot in Vancouver for a reason. Breakfast/brunch is all that they do here so it has to be special. The bright, cheery, exceptionally clean spot on Broadway near Granville is a MUST STOP for breakfast/brunch. It is very popular and small, so EXPECT TO WAIT. The WAIT IS WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT. They are very efficient so when you check in with the host/hostess they will take your name, tell you your estimated wait time, and then take your # so they can send you a text when your table is ready. They send you a text immediately and ask you to make sure that you have received the text from them before you leave-- this ensures there is no mistake with your #. The text arrived immediately and reiterated our estimated wait time. Our wait time was estimated at 30 mins and our table was ready in 30 mins. The menu is full of interesting options. We had the eggs benedict, coffee crusted pork belly hash with a side of bernaise sauce, and a mixed plate of sides (hash browns, veggies, and turkey sausage). The pork belly, back bacon and regular bacon is all smoked in-house. The food was delicious, the portions are large, the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity, and the service was exceptional. This is why they are #1.

Wonderful central location and quite busy by 9:30 on a Sat morning. Not overly noisy, with tables closely spaced but not intrusive. Service pleasant and attentive with water and coffee. Our meals of French toast and salmon hash were creatively presented, great taste and came piping hot. In fact, my better half commented that the salmon was far superior to dinner the night before.

This restaurant started out as a convenient place to eat but turned into a delicious surprise. The prices were good, the food was delicious, local and the portions were huge. The restaurant is clean, the staff were professional and friendly. We had an opportunity to meet Michael and said we would be back when we come back to Vancouver.

I was incredibly impressed with the food at Breakfast Table. The portions were large and filling. I especially enjoyed that they had fresh vegetables with most of their dishes. Service was very slow and they took long intervals to fill our drinks. Very basic dining room and decor. Would go again because the food was so good!
