Bishop's - Vancouver

Took us 30 years to get here but worth the wait. A renowned and beloved Vancouver spot with good cause. Pleasant greeting as we entered. Unobtrusive, but attentive service. From appetizers to dessert everything flowed smoothly. Our mains were beautifully plated and exquisite in quality, best lamb I've ever had. The semi dehydrated plum tomatoes in my dish were a wonderful burst of flavour. Death By Chocolate for dessert was small but so rich, anything more would have been overkill. A bit pricey but that's expected when you go for the best. Thank you to Mr. Bishop for taking the time to graciously greet each of his guests. We will return.

Amazing service and a great romantic ambiance. It has a West Coast feeling (not too stuffy), and yet you are in a fine dining restaurant with world class food and service. This place just has more natural and genuine 'personality '. Great place for special occasions (or in our case Date Night).

Having read tons of positive reviews on Bishop’s Restaurant, we were extremely lucky to get the last table available for this year’s Dine Out Vancouver (apparently someone just cancelled his reservation). I must say that Bishop’s lives up totally to what all the people commended from the warm greetings the moment you step in the door to the tentative service and top notch dishes up to the moment you leave with a personal thank you and friendly remarks from Mr Bishop himself at the door. It is a showcase of what a top restaurant should be.

My folks recently celebrated their 30th anniversary at Bishop's and received absolutely spectacular customer service. A very special thank you goes to Jody for painstakingly copying out a message from my grandmother and bringing it out to the couple, along with their champagne. Bravo, Bishop's above and beyond! One of the very best Vancouver has to offer. Impeccable service, warm and friendly staff and John Bishop still takes the time to chat and check on every table. The food is simply amazing, I'm sorry to my tastebuds that it's been so long since I'd been back. I'm not sure that you will find a better or finer dining experience anywhere else. I can't wait to go back. Thank you Bishops for reminding me how fabulous dinner can be.
