Rifugio Barmasse - VALTOURNENCHE

The ascent to the rifugio barmasse is rewarded with magnificent views over the valtournenche and the spectacular of the cignana lake at the arrival. at the we were able to choose a table as we. (in, in the beautiful it area) but it was said there was no food service until and not even a offer of drinks. As soon as the lunch service started, it took time to arrive for our simple food (a very bad pasta preparation and a fairly underweight spezzatino), and we left after despair to get a coffee. the two young women who took care of the lunch service were very nice, but clearly overwhelmed by the logistics of the served in the inside and equal numbers outside. our experience would make us the way to visit again or visit rifugio cuney, which is under the same line. small improvements would go a long way and should be made if only from shame for such a blot on the generally good refugee experience in italien.

If I could give this place a 0, I would. we arrived there at pm when the place was fully booked. we asked the boss for a place to sleep because we had no tents. he agreed we were in. the dining room so popular in other refugees if there is no room. we ate dinner, and he asked us to leave saying that the local policy is that no one sleeps in the dining room/bar. Obviously, we could go on when he said that, but he decided to pay him to eat and then kick us into the cold. paid euro for an evening meal and had to try to find a windy place to spend the cold night in. to the happiness we found an abandoned hut near. no place where its destination is, traveling and wandering speep should treat hukers so

Great risotto al bleu di valdostana. the best minestrone we had in our trip. I recome to try strudel di verdure. prices are lower than in other rifugio.

I only had lunch there, but the view and the food were just perfect! the water of the sea is amazing, hasn't seen anyone swimming in it naturally! I had a risotto that was perfect, but not the night spent there, but everyone seemed very...nice

What a relief when you get lost in the mountain to find such a place! Nice welcome, good advise, availability Molto gentile, veramente Simple but excellent food Clean room Shared bathroom (a shower would make it a first class hut)
