Mcalister's Deli - Valparaiso

The food is quite enjoyable, but the service can often be slow. If you're picking up an order, it's a good idea to double-check it, as they tend to forget items.

The service here is friendly, and the food is tasty! Recently, however, they have been out of several menu items, including the spuds and Cinnabon cookies. If they ever restock those Cinnabon cookies, you have to give them a try—they're a must!

The food is consistently delicious, and the restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness. I was slightly disappointed that the online menu didn't match the items available, even after I entered my location; however, I suspect our cashier may have been new. We really enjoy the kid's meals, especially since the apple juice and apple sauce are top-notch brands. I also had some fantastic fresh fruit as a side, which my daughter ended up eating most of!

Go here pretty often with my friends and family, it never takes long for our food and always delicious!

The staff was not friendly at all; when we asked for an extra fork, they seemed puzzled. The dining area was messy, with paper littering the ground and food falling on the floor. Dirty dishes were left piled on tables for over half an hour after we arrived. Despite being there for 35 minutes, the restaurant was nearly empty, with fewer than 10 customers present. I’m giving this place 2 stars because the meal was very disappointing, customer service was lacking, and the slow service was frustrating. They have signs asking for patience due to being short-staffed, yet I counted six employees working. Sure, there are worse places to eat, but there are definitely better options out there as well. Lastly, I used the women's restroom, which resembled a truck stop. There was urine on the seat, grime on both sides of the door, and mess on the floor. Both stalls had paper and soap, along with a wrapped table, but that wasn’t enough to compensate for the overall poor experience.
