Bidrage med feedbackA nice, friendly café on the toboggan run at La Poya, next to La Buet Train Station. Get a coffee or hot chocolate, admire the views and watch your children stroll the gentle slopes. A plus, the café has a free pnematique sleigh ride for all...customers.... Another plus for skiers you can return to Vallorcine to test your skills.
This place visited 3 days over 10 days, for lunch and afternoon coffee every day during with ski school. The owner was seated with us all and all orders at the same time, refused to take orders when convenient for the customer... even if the rest of the café was literally empty. It was very upset by our presence rather than welcoming 10 new customers. On day 3, I decided to take a lunch package and sit in the parking lot instead of guaranteeing their grime again.
Moontine is a wonderful place to stop for lunch or snack. It is an alpine chalet in a flowering meadow next to Mont Blanc station in Le Buet near Vallorcine. The owners are charming and the food is delicious and fresh homemade....There are tables inside for colder days, but the tables outside the face of the size of the beautiful Aiguilles Rouges and surrounding forests. In the café there is a housing of friendly goats and a wooden hand built tree house for children. And in winter there are tobogonning sleds with the use of sleds free when eating in the café. The menu is small but varied with something that corresponds to most flavors. The fondue is wonderfully made from an old local recipe. But make room for the best myrtilla (beeberry) cake in the valley made to a recipe with almonds and deep in juicy local blueberries.
An evening spent at Moontine is an evening well spent. The two owners of the cafe have introduced special dishes to the menu on certaim days. We had the pleasure of a tomato fondue served with hot boiled potatoes and green salad. Delicious. A perfect...accompaniment to a moonlit snowy evening.
