Les Closeaux - Vallières-les-Grandes

The chef takes great care in presenting an interesting menu. Excellent value. Presents unusual amuse bouche and good range of vegetables in season and meat/fish using local suppliers. Also local vineyards supply excellent wine. A very special place with outstanding service.

Le Closeaux is in a lovely location between Vallieres and Souvigny. We were keen to eat outside to enjoy the sunshine and view, and to reduce Covid risk. Whilst everyone else chose to eat indoors the staff were happy to clean and lay an outdoor...table and provided excellent service throughout. The lunchtime menu is exceptional value 4 courses at 26E plus 2 delicious amuse bouches. We also appreciated that whilst we'd arrived on our bikes, we were treated with the same respect as smarter customers! Nb This was our 2nd attempt on this holiday the first time they were full so worth booking

Very good restaurant with excellent quality ratio price, formula lunch in flat or flat dessert at 15€ in week. very friendly service, lunch on the terrace, we had a pleasant time.

This restaurant is just exceptional, the quality of the kitchen will fill you. we went to the starred restaurant the castle pray the day before, more than disappointed it does not deserve its star! here we have 100 times better eating, the much more tasteful dishes, much better cooked. Finally, I invite all tourists to turn away from starred restaurant and breweries that catch you near the Amboise Castle. make a small effort of 15 km and come here you will be surprised so much by this quality as the prices! good appetite ahead ...

In a rustic setting and in a rural environment the restaurant "the closets" serves a delicious and very good quality cuisine. The service is efficient and attentive. children can safely fall outside. Peaceful restaurant worthy of interest both by its kitchen and by its location near the tourist sites of the valley of the loire.
