I had the opportunity to dine here for the first time today and tried the tuna melt, which was fantastic. It cost me $12, a bit more than I’d usually like to pay for a sandwich, but the quality and portion size made it worth it, especially compared to what I'm used to at Safeway. The atmosphere is super relaxed and cozy—a perfect spot for lunch. The staff was friendly too. The lunch menu is limited to sandwiches, wraps, and sides, so adding salads would be a great idea. One suggestion for improvement? It would be nice to have thinner paper for wrapping the sandwiches. The thick paper makes it a bit tricky to handle, and if you eat like I do, with your sandwiches and burgers getting messy, you'll definitely want something easier to manage!
I accidentally discovered Cafe 22 while visiting my daughter in Vallejo for the day. The atmosphere felt very local, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich, while my daughter chose the Turkey Avocado Sandwich. Both were enormous—almost too much meat, to be honest! We enjoyed our meal on the outdoor terrace, which was quite lovely. Overall, it was a fantastic spot, and we'll definitely return if we find ourselves hungry in Vallejo again!
Another $12 sandwich spot in Vallejo. The Mare Island Sandwich was tasty, but I wish they had their ruby sandwiches available.
Had their Breakfast Panini and it’s pretty good and well-priced! Iced coffee is perfect after a long bike ride too.
