We were staying at our favourite hotel in Valladolid, Washington Parquesol Suites Hotel and wanted a evening meal on 18th June......big mistake Spain were playing Chile in the world cup. We tried two restaurants but they both had wall to wall screens showing the match. The places were heaving with soccer mad fans and our experience previously is that you can forget service until the match is finished. This restaurant had a bar and a separate dining room, we asked the owner/waiter/barman if we could get food in the dining room...no problem. We expected the worst thinking he would keep disappearing into the bar to watch the match. We apologise for disturbing his match again no problem. He was very attentive and the starters came quickly and were very good, a warm goats cheese salad (large helping) and a langostine salade. This main course selection was mainly meals and we both had young lamb chops. My wife had asked for the kidneys first but they were not available, however he found just two which he cooked and added to our main course...nice touch! As I have said the service was excellent and Javier was very attentive despite the match next door. No room for deserts so just had coffees to finish off a good experience. We will definitely go there again.
