Willees Tavern - Valencia

We have been coming to this desert restaurant for 45 years, solely for their famous fish sandwiches. The fish is flown in fresh from Maine every Friday. The sandwiches are generous in size, with two large pieces of fish stacked on a small bun. However, be prepared to wait if you arrive after 5 pm on a Friday, as it can get very busy. I recommend going for an early dinner, as the restaurant is small. During Lent, the menu is limited.

The best fish sandwich in the world! I don't exaggerate. ask for bruce's hot soak. the best. ron, linda bruce. beautiful bar and kamin. is not better than that!

We ordered the Cobb Salad and the A1 Burger. The server was working alone and was quite busy, but still managed to do an excellent job. The food took a bit longer than usual to come out of the kitchen, but it was worth the wait as it was delicious and prepared exactly as requested.

It's been about 50 years since my grandfather brought me to willees tavern for a fish sandwich. excellent service and sandwich. much bigger than I remember, and the sawdust was gone

The experience was mediocre. Two of us ordered the fish, which is supposed to be the best around, but we have definitely had better at Scoreboard and Barrel Junction. Another person ordered the burger, which was very dry. However, we did have a very nice and efficient waitress.
