Lizarran Cardenal Benlloch - Valencia

My wife and I were staying at the Silken Puerta Valencia around 100m away and thought that we would try here as a pretty inexpensive option. We were delighted with our meal which was much cheaper than a couple of the local restaurants that we had tried in the preceding evenings. Clearly more of a cafe than a restaurants but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

After a long day sightseeing in Valencia we wanted to eat somewhere casual. Lizarran fitted our requirements perfectly. Fabulous food and staff, Cori and Borsi was very attentive and spoke a little English but could understand us. Superb evening, fabulous food and brilliant staff, definitely be back.

The first visit was right at the kitchen’s closing time. But we could have some pinchos for takeaway for just € 1,— each. Very delicious midnight snack. This experience made us curious about the other dishes. We visited a few days later in the early afternoon. Although the waitress didn’t speak english (a problem you have in many bars in Valencia) she understood the order. The steak was perfect (medium-rare to rare) and accompanied by fantastic grilled vegetables and homemade fries. The tapas and pinchos are in self-service to get.

We had a tex mex burger and, cookie with ice cream. Both very good! Chips were hot, crisp and salty. Burger was succulent and was well presented. Cookie with ice cream was simple and yummy, fresh baked!

Lovely staff, I can't speak Spanish but they did their best for me. Food is fresh and made to order.very fast service <3 I ordered the burger
