Gastro Deli - Valencia

They came to my table, I told them that I do not speak Spanish and they told me to sit in front and not in the restaurant because in the restaurant the kitchen was closed and I can only have breakfast in the front eatery, as soon as they took me there for more than 1 hour no one came for orders after 1 hour a sweet young girl tried to take my order with google translate, then the woman in charge stopped her and let me wait another 15 minutes, they ignored me and chatted and cleaned the bar then the kid who sent me for breakfast there, informed me that definitely there is no breakfast there, only croissants and cold sandwiches then i left.

The service is superb. I could not speak Spanish but they did their very best to help me. One of the guys who work there’s speaks decent English. Everything you order is BIG. I was very surprised because I am not used to that. They are very generous with the food and the drinks. They are fast as well. Really great. Great service and great food.

This place went over and beyond for us. We wanted to try the traditional paella but they initially said they could not as you need to order in advance (this is the norm for many places). Chef came out himself later saying he would do it. Nothing was a problem for them. Really wonderful food. Thank you for making our stay in Valencia perfect. 10/10 PS: they even packed our leftovers to take away.
