Great value for money pub! Popular for food and drinks, and events upstairs! Beers selection not that wide, bottled beers as well.

Food: 3/5 Service: 2/5 My sister and I were looking for a place to eat as we were waiting to head to the airport.

McCowans to me has no real warmth or depth, no real atmosphere and just blahThe food is blah too.

The food was delicious, with a creative use of ingredients! I was impressed by the variety of vegetarian dishes on the menu, so I will definitely be back. We were told to try the fish and chips, which were good but not outstanding. I would skip it next time in favor of other menu items. Service was decent, but a bit cautious, still the food quality deserves 5 stars.

I had a fantastic Sunday roast at this restaurant. The beef was cooked to perfection and there were many delicious vegetables. The service was great as well. My wife enjoyed her vegetarian roast as well. We will definitely be returning soon.
