Steak 'n Shake - Valdosta

I was surprised to find self-service menu screens for placing orders instead of speaking with a real person. It was easy to navigate, and I appreciated the clarity it offered for customizing my burger. Despite the lack of a cashier interaction, I had a great experience. My burger was the best I've had in a long time, prepared just the way I wanted it. I highly recommend this restaurant for its cleanliness, accuracy in food preparation, relatively short wait times, and delicious food.

The food we got was OK, and the service was good! But were were very disappointed to find chicken fingers were not on the menu anymore, so we had to make a second stop to feed our younger kids who don't like burgers or hotdogs. Also my chili cheese fries had the tiniest bit of shredded cheese on them instead of the cheese sauce that's my favorite part!

When we placed our order, no receipt was printed from the kiosk. Then, when we went to the self-service drink station, there were no cups available—this was an hour after they had opened, so you would think they would be well-stocked. We tried to get someone’s attention, but we were ignored. After waiting about eight minutes, we finally received cups. To our dismay, the fountain drinks were flat. We then took a seat, and instead of having our food brought to us, it was placed on a counter with a number called out. There was no music playing, and the service was nonexistent. Although the food was still decent, it wasn't as hot as usual, but at least it wasn't cold. On a positive note, I did notice that the floors seemed cleaner than before. Overall, I don't think I'll be returning. My grandpa would have walked right out the door if he had seen the state of the kiosks and how we weren't even greeted.

I was traveling with a friend and we were feeling hungry, so we decided to stop at a restaurant.

Totally automated. if they ask for help, she'll get my fault. it took 25 minutes to get our food and the fries were cold. after 2 o'clock. the machine actually seeks a tipp. accepted to be a family place to not dine quickly. nothing fast and friendly about this.
