Microbrasserie Le Prospecteur

It was my first day ever in Val D'Or and I was looking for a restaurant with some local character for a casual work lunch. Le Prospecteur delivered. The service was right on the mark, that atmosphere was fun and trendy, and the food was very tasty and well priced. They have a lunch time table d'hote during the week which was a winner for my colleague and I. Oh, let's not forget the beer. Lots of selection and the two we tried were top notch. This place is definitely worth putting on your list if your travelling in the area.

The decor is great, the staff exceptional, I had the beef tartare and it was good. Their beers are amazing! A must stop in Val d'Or!

Went here while on a business trip. Their menu is different than a typical restaurant which i like. I had the venison burger and it was excellent. The place is also a microbrewery. I tried the red beer and it was great. I went their on a Thursday night , the place was full but I was lucky to get a spot.

Tried 2 great tasting and interesting home brewed IPAs and a session ale brewed with black spruce shoots! Also had an excellent bison sirloin steak. Good music. Nice personnel.

The bartender took time to explain to us all kind of beer and offered some great choice that we would not have though about getting otherwise. She explained how to sample them. Overall, great experience. Food was good too.
