Bidrage med feedbackSince I had already visited this snack bar in Ahmedabad, it was more tempting for me;) Serving authentic Punjabi "ghar ka khana". You may not be impressed with the basic interiors, but as they say "dikhavo pe mat jao, apni akkal (read - taste buds) lagavo" don't get carried away by the really simple, not so charming interiors and location !! About the food - every damn Paratha here is a treat for the palate, but I recommend - mix Kulcha, Tomato Cheese, and Palak Paneer, aside from these - any aloo that contains Kulchas !! All these Kulcha are served with Punjabi Chhole, Quark and Achhaar, so you don't have to order a Subji;) - pocket-friendly! Additionally, they offer a platter of different options - Chhole, Dal Makkhani, and Palak Paneer with any two types of Kulcha! Another star dish is - Vagha Biryani !! It's a combination of two types of biryanis - must try !! Aside from subji and starters, they are good! Seasonal gajar halava or gulab jamub for your sweet tooth and a patiyala lassi complete the meal (rather - overly - but you know you have to eat like a Punjabi here) A must visit place! I wish they would add more variety of "stuff" parathas !! Ps- You can really save yourself long waiting times, just like other Parathas outlets !!
Ambience and service is good, however taste is not that exotic and it misses that X factor compared to the hype created. Also it is not pocket friendly, the menu is planned like you will atleast spend Rs.350 for two and that to for only Kulcha.
I was looking for some good North Indian food in Baroda and Zomato showed me this place and from reading the reviews thought I would give this place a chance and ended up here. It's not a fine restaurant, but a decent one, but who cares if the food is good. We ordered Masala Papad, Dal Tadka, Amritsari Paneer and Garlic Naan and everything was delicious. The ghee tadka in the dal was heavenly. Overall the food was great and the service was quick. A must for all gourmets ????
I guess this is the most busiest place in the area. A punjabi food joint but yes they have modified it according to the city. It would be great if they kept it authentic punjabi by which i mean masaledar and spicy food. I am not a kulcha fan but by seeing so many options in that we feel like to give a try. Our order was panner cheese kulcha and mix kulcha in wheat bread. Both kulcha's were served with many items like chutney, dal, pickle. Both were good but yes it would be more good if they were chatpata. They also served other punjabi food but we were full in kulcha's but we have reason to visit again, surely wanna try other items.
