Watt's Family - Utica

I have enjoyed going to Watt’s for years for in restaurant and takeout. Excellent food. Wonderful friendly service. But something has changed. We ordered a bowl of their ham and bean soup. Skimpiest bowl ever. Tasted ok but needed cooked longer. Cornbread was not warmed after removing from cooler. And I was heartbroken to find that the butterscotch pie recipe has been changed or something but it definitely was not the pie they used to serve. I have been eating and making butterscotch from scratch all my life and watts used to taste authentic. No longer. Will miss having a restaurant that we always counted on for good meals to go to. Oh. The service was impeccable and friendly as always

Fast, friendly service. The food was good. The display case was filled with pies and pastries.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. They have a ramp and it appears to have enough room to get through.

Went to Amish and was disappointed. Stopped here on the way home. Chicken, mashed potatoes and homemade noodles dish was fantastic. Lots of other stuff I wish I could have tried.

Went to Watts for lunch. This place has not changed at all. I've been coming here more than 40 years. The decor is the same, the food is the same, the atmosphere is the same.... it's like stepping back in time, to my childhood, every time I step through those doors. They have a gift shop behind the restaurant now too. If you're ever in the Utica area, you have to go to Watts.
