I Heart Mac Cheese - Urbana

The grilled cheese was beyond good, only disappointment is there was hardly any cheese on my mac n cheese and very little noodle for the price. i could tell they were limiting their resources. This was sad because i love mac n cheese and this place is known for it but cant even make it. I want somewhere i can go and expect to get what i paid for. Not $9 just for some noodles and cheesy water.

The vegan mac and cheese is embarrassing. Rather than melt actual vegan cheese and/or bake the noodles in it, instead they serve something that resembles a bowl of cereal. Noodles floating in what looked and tasted like a bowl of unflavored soy milk. No flavor, and no attempt to replicate the taste or texture of cheese--which is not hard to do these days with so many credible vegan cheeses available. Furthermore, the Beyond Meat floating in the muck seemed unseasoned and possibly uncooked. A very bizarre and terrible meal! My friend got a grilled cheese sandwich which looked great, and he loved it.

The food always comes out hot, I always have to wait for it to cool before I can eat it. The service is awesome they always greet me when I walk in the door and are super nice and walk the food to your table! I ate here the day it opened and I continue to eat here multiple times a month. They’ve come so far since they’ve opened. The food is a little pricy but you get what you pay for. The food has great flavor and I love that you can customize your mac n cheese or grilled cheese exactly to your liking. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that the tater tots could be crispier, but if you come here for the tater tots alone there’s something wrong with you. They have tons of ingredients you can add. They even have vegan options, limited but nonetheless.

Wife had the Cuban grilled cheese (i had a few bites) and I had the Buffalo blue Mac bowl. Excellent flavors! Will come back for sure. Cozy dining atmosphere and friendly service. The food was okay, it was over priced for what it was, but it is nice to have a vegan mac n cheese option at a restaurant. The staff is not great, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes to get a lid for the container and the employee looked at me and just ignored me while just standing around. Went another time and left without any food because the employee just ignored us waiting to order.
