Trattoria Alessandro - Uppsala

Today I visited Uppsala with friends. We found this hidden gem when we parked on a carpark close by. The setting was very inviting and the staff most helpful. I had the seafood risotto which was full of seafood and the rice very flavoursome. To finish I had the ice cream which was a lovely way to finish the meal.

The pizza was quite bland and nothing to write home about. The tomato sauce was lacking in flavor and the dough felt more like bread. Additionally, the restaurant had a noticeable cigarette smell. The staff was smoking outside near the main entrance, which gave off an unprofessional vibe right from the start.

I wont be visiting Trattoria Alessando again for 2 reasons: 1: The food was expensive and not worth the money. The beef tenderloin was so under cooked it was blue-ish, the pasta was Over cooked and simply didn't taste good. The BUFFALO mozzarella was something totally else than buffalo, more like something you find at a ICA store. 2. The owner (or someone who acted like an owner) was extremely rude and condescending to his staff. Making the waiter feel uncomfortable and making him look stupid in front of the whole restaurant. I do not and will ever again support a restaurant where this behaviour is accepted. Hope nobody else does too. The food was bad and it was expensive, so why would you?

Not good food at all. Where meet by a annoied waitor, a blond guy who was busy with his own problems it seemed. Food came after 45 minutes and was really bad. Tiramisu was disgusting

One of the worst resturant experiences I have ever had. Served me burnt food and when I told the chef he asked if I wanted him to throw it for me. I said no but bring another piece, he says you want compensation? He was talking in a very rude and aggressive way so my company were shocked. And when I said you know what just your answer says it all, I don't want to continue talking he says we can be civilised and not throw stuff on each other. We were shocked again. A while later he brought me a few small pieces (I didn't eat nor touched them, who wants to after such humiliation). While he brings it he provocingly tells me that he could have eaten that burnt piece and I said but it's not about your judgment, I am not forcing myself to eat a burnt piece and you should know that the customer is always right. He said you want to teach me that?. He destroyed our experience and gathering of 10 people. It was supposed to be our happy Christmas dinner. All of us will warn everyone we know about this restaurant and this rude and aggressive owner. This is anything but not an Italian restaurant in which love warmth makes you feel at home. There are lots of other restaurants in Uppsala. Don't go here!
