Åkanten - Uppsala

A very nice and cozy place. unfortunately the service was not very good. we had at least 3 different waiters. the first seemed somewhat indifferent and forgot our drinks. we have a steak, but no scream. we first corrected the weed wrong and then halfway into the steak. Second waiter was ok, but also not really friendly. the last waiter was actually friendly and heard and was attentive. price level too high for the quality of food.

5 stars for the terras, 3 stars for the food, 1 star for the person who served our table and just rambled her standard questions on if we enjoyed our food without wanting to know the answer... Well the answer was, hamburger meat was okay for the price level, the amount of pickled onion on the burger was way to large seriously affecting the taste. The Aperol spritz which I ordered was enjoyed. Poor judgement of the guy who served the table that the beer would be for me instead of my girl. We are in Sweden, land of equality where beer shall not be regarded as a drink for men.. neither shall sweet cocktails be for women only. A more neutral.approach or actually.. the professional knowing who ordered what would be appreciated. Now here we need to point at the fact that the person taking orders and delivering are not the same which may be efficient but decreases the experience of table service. Not the fault of the person serving but a poor leadership choice.

Standard Swedish food. no exciting menu. plus for the great place with good views of the river.

Delicious food, very pleasant atmosphere. the staff is very polite and helpful. we have visited this place a few times and we will surely come back

Very good staff. one of them speaks very good Spanish. eating is very good and this salate is highly recommended
