The Bishops Arms Uppsala

The Long Island Icetea tasted watered down rum. Payed 185 SEK $22 for a burger. Few fries, dip were half-full. Salad and one slice of tomato was not in the burger, but on the side and had no dressing or anything. The bacon on the burger was bitter-salt, and the cheese was taco cheddar dip and tasted sour. Friend was still hungry after his Fish n ' Chips which was soggy. Only 2 people working the entire restaurant and were always at the bar. 2 hours later no one had removed my plate. I do not recommend!

Great bar, great beer, good food! Had fish and chips. Large parts. Saw outside. Nice bar!

Cozy place, especially when they have pubquiz on mondays with nice prizes! The food is not super remarkable though.

Authentic pub in Uppsala, great selection of beer drinks. I had the mushroom soup which was good. I retracted one stair as it was very noisy in the pub when they had a swedish quiz or so, sorry.

We came for an early dinner at 4pm. It was very empty and quiet (too quiet.. no music? . We bought some drinks but, after a while, felt the need to move tables as two members of staff were standing over us, talking loudly to some friends at the next table for a long time. We moved tables and ordered dinner and more drinks. There were two mistakes with the drinks order, plus their visa terminal was broken so I had to use swish (not their fault admittedly . While we were waiting a large gang of either co-workers or colleagues appeared from the hotel and stood around at the bar, talking away. During this time we saw three groups of customers appear and stood in line at the bar, waiting to get served. After around 10 minutes, two of them left in frustration. The third just went and sat down, examining the menus again. It was so embarrassing to watch. The bar staff didn 't even spot this. And the pub was nearly empty! Our food arrived and we sat there waiting for cutlery. A few minutes later we were asked don 't you have cutlery? .. Maybe we were supposed to bring our own? The drink selection is great, the decor is nice but, the food is fine, time and time again, the quality of service makes the Uppsala Bishops Arms a really disappointing and frustrating experience. As we were leaving the manager arrived and we heard her say to the bar staff I 'm sorry it 's been so quiet in here this afternoon .. I wonder why? This place will close unless the consistency of service improves. Some times it 's nice but so often it 's just terrible.
