George' has a little bit of everything that the community needs, kinda like an old general store. Some things aren't always the freshest, but considering the nearest alternative is 20 km away, you learn to make due with what's available. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to help if at all possible. Takeout food available from the restaurant side (no eat in available) and they are also a licensed seller for NSLC so a selection of alcohol is available for purchase. Overall, a good little community store that tries to meet the general needs of the local area and does a good job of it. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp for accessibility, but the aisles are narrow so navigating with a chair is VERY difficult. If you can maneuver with a cane or crutches you'd be better off.

Good place to stretch your legs and grab a quick bite on the way between Marine Drive and the city if you're going through Middle and Upper. Definitely recommend their Thai chili chicken bites super tasty in the deli cooler.
