The Rolling Rib Part 2 - UPPER MARLBORO

I have been enjoying their food for 23 years, and it’s the best I’ve found so far. The North Carolina chopped pork is the best I've had since moving from NC. I love the ribs and chicken, and my family in Philadelphia knows we have to stop by. I used to swing by on my way to Philly just to make sure my parents could enjoy their favorites as well. I highly recommend everything on the menu!

I've been going to this restaurant for the past three years, and the food was excellent for the first two. I still love the taste of the ribs and chicken, but recently they seem to have added way too much pepper to the ribs. I was there just yesterday and ordered some chopped BBQ, not realizing they use chopped rib meat instead of pork shoulder. Unfortunately, because the ribs are too spicy, the chopped BBQ ended up being too spicy as well.

I don't understand how a restaurant that advertises a closing time of 4:45 PM can tell customers arriving at 4 PM that they're closed. This kind of situation is disappointing, especially coming from a black-owned business. Regardless of how good the food may be, professionalism is essential. I recommend avoiding this place; it wasn't worth the hour and a half drive. It would also help if you cleared your voicemail so that callers are informed about the hours. I definitely won't be returning and will share my experience with my friends.
