Carolina Kitchen - UPPER MARLBORO

I was really excited when I learned there was a Carolina kitchen that was close to me. I do not recommend this location. Food was tasteless and seemed like it was thrown together. I have been going to the Carolina kitchen in Hyattsville for years and it’s always delicious and they never disappoint. This location did not meet the same expectations. I had the smothered fried chicken, Collard greens, and mac cheese. The food was just not good. Their gravy was yellow. It looked like mustard. I have never seen anything like that before. One out of 10 would not recommend. Look forward to more Taste to Takiya ?

Macaroni n Cheese looked like scrambled eggs. Tasted like melted cheese with a little macaroni. Collard greens were extremely salty and the yams was disgustingly too sweet. Coming from a foreign country looking to have some down home cooking left me totally disappointed. The cost of 7.25 per small side was too expensive n than not able to eat it was like taking money n burning it. TOTAL DISSAPOINTMENT..I would not recommend anyone to get the three above mentioned dishes..

If I don’t make my own collards I prefer these ones. I usually order a side of greens to go. These ones today had a nasty aftertaste.. as if the meat or the juice they were in were spoiled. A waste of $10 and now I’m scared to try them again.

Was told that the rocky mountain wings were made to order. We waited 15 mins, only to be served wing dings, literally. $20+ dollars for frozen wings, the same wingettes 711 sells seriously! Also, the mac and cheese recipe has definitely changed, unless it varies by location. Today, it gave spruced up box mac. Highly disappointed! I hope they don't come to Baltimore with this foolishness!

Been a regular customer for 10+years. Today’s food was disgusting. Idk if they changed cooks but the jerk chicken, rice, Mac n cheese(not cooked long enough) even the banana pudding was Terrible. Ordered fish too and that was awful. What’s going on here? Smh new management ? For $115 was not worth it. drove all the way from Richmond.
