Sea Fish - Upminster

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The fish and chips were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The veggie burger was also very satisfying. I have returned to this restaurant multiple times.

The fish and chips were limp and had a stale taste, as if they had been sitting in the fryer for too long. The staff seemed only interested in regular customers, and I felt like I was given subpar service as a new face. I suspect that the glowing reviews are from known locals who were asked to leave positive feedback. Additionally, I noticed that they only had a one star hygiene rating, while most other fish and chips shops in the area had a higher rating. I ended up throwing away most of my meal as it was nearly inedible. I would suggest avoiding this place if you are a first-time customer.
