Ono Hawaiian Bbq - Upland

I frequent this special restaurant once a month as I love the good mood that is unique to this place. The staff is highly friendly and experienced. The service is impressively quick. Needless to say, the food you get is first-rate. I came often and I was always delighted. The cost is decent. I highly recommend this restaurant to to everybody.

The Hawaiian BBQ spice chicken is amazing, you can't go wrong with it.

My mother asked me to pick up some Ono Hawaiian BBQ because she was craving it. There was a sign on the restaurant door suggesting that masks are recommended, and plastic guards were set up around the registers. When I entered, there was one couple waiting for their order. I ordered a Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate for my mom, but without the vegetables and with an extra scoop of macaroni salad instead. My mom isn't a big fan of cabbage, which is mainly what the vegetable side consists of, along with a few florets of broccoli. For myself, I got the Beef and Chicken Combo Plate and added a 6-piece order of Crab Rangoons to share. The Rangoons are filled with cream cheese and bits of crab (probably imitation crab, but I'm not certain) wrapped in fried wontons. I waited inside while they prepared our food. During that time, three more customers came in to pick up online or called-in orders, and someone else placed an order while I was waiting. I observed an employee come out to restock the dipping sauce cup lids and clean the area around the Teriyaki Katsu sauce dispensers and soda fountain before returning to the register. Once my order was called, I picked up the food and headed home to enjoy it.

I typically place my orders over the phone, even before the pandemic. Orders usually take around 15 minutes to prepare. There's no indoor dining available, and they've closed off the sauce and soda station; however, they have everything you need if you ask for it. There are plastic barriers set up for ordering and payment, and all the employees are wearing masks and gloves. They've also switched from the black foam containers used at Panda Express to some new plastic ones, which seem a bit smaller, but the portion sizes appear to be the same. The food tastes as good as ever! I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back. Enjoy!

The Hawaiian food at this location is excellent. I highly recommend it and give it two thumbs up. Make sure to come hungry, as the portions are quite generous!
