Farina 00 Pasta & Wine - UNLEY

I am generally easy to please when it comes to restaurants, just bring me what I ordered and make it tasty. Unfortunately, the service at this establishment was disappointing. The waitress spilled our red wine and even knocked over a beer bottle. She also struggled with pronouncing the Italian menu items, causing confusion at our table. We ordered two cheese and bread starters for our group of 7, expecting enough to share, but were disappointed to receive only four small pieces of bread. The cheeses were large, making it difficult to enjoy with so little bread. Additionally, there was a mix-up with our orders, with one main dish arriving much later than the others. Although they offered an extra dish to make up for it, we just wanted what we had originally ordered. We ended up skipping dessert as we felt rushed to leave, despite not being the last patrons in the restaurant. Overall, the food was decent but not outstanding enough to compensate for the poor service we experienced.

The wood-fired pizzas at this restaurant are absolutely delicious, made with authentic and high-quality ingredients. The duck dish is great for sharing and the pasta is also delicious. However, there is a noticeable service issue that we encountered twice before I decided to provide this feedback. The employees are slow and seem uninterested, which is disappointing. I hope they improve the service because the food is really amazing.

We were very disappointed with the service we received at the restaurant tonight, especially since our previous experience was very good. The new staff members seemed confused and unaware of what was happening. Despite my partner booking a table online for the dining room, we were left waiting at the bar until someone finally attended to us. To our surprise, we were led to a table outside on a wooden bench, even though it was winter and quite cold. When we questioned the waitress about this, she went to check if a table in the dining room was available, which luckily it was. After taking our drink orders, the waitress had to come back to our table multiple times to confirm our choices. Despite the food being good, it took a long time for our meals to arrive, so we decided to skip dessert and leave. Overall, we were very disappointed with the service and experience.

Large Italian cuisine with friendly helpful staff. Amazing wood stove pizzas, but always check the special panel. They offer BYO if you have an upscale wine for a special Okkka, otherwise their wine list was reasonable with prices.

It's interesting that this restaurant always doesn't look as busy as the others along this strip although in my opinion it is the best of them all. The service is always quite friendly while not always fast the food I have found to be excellent...and I am generally not a fan of eating at pasta restaurants having been a pasta cook in a previous life.
