Poppo's Taqueria - University Park

For three months I have had a pregnancy craving for Poppos honey lime cabbage, but each location is too far out of my way. Finally was able to make it in to one and the nice staff was more than happy to keep piling into my bowl. 100% satified and ended up devouring the whole large bowl, saving none for my poor husband.

Freshly pressed Maistortillas are delicious, eat them in the restaurant, they will not travel well. Bridal tropical green tea. Great lunch. My only complaint is that the rice was understated.

Our family LOVES Poppo?s food. It?s amazing. But the last few times I have ordered online I feel like they have skimped on ingredients on top of the prices going up due to inflation. This is their ?big bowl? which now costs $12.50 plus tip tip is optional) and the bowl is about halfway full. This is the second time I?ve ordered online and come home to find that this happened with a bowl. Its also happened when we?ve ordered their burritos for pickup. It?s never happened when I?ve ordered in person at the restaurant, they always fill the bowls and burritos up to the top with ingredients. Not sure if it?s because they?re busy and just toss online orders together as quick as they can or what. Just a little disappointing is all :

NO CASH Just a heads up!!! We were in town for a few days, and we wanted tacos. Asked a few local guys where to eat, and both agreed Poppo's was a good spot! We arrived around 5pm and the place was empty. One couple sat outside eating. 3 people were working and were eager to help. I ordered a chicken burrito. The flour tortilla was fresh made right in front of me. Like from the dough. Awesome. My wife ordered two pork tacos. Same thing, both of her tortillas were fresh made. It's set up very similar to a Chipotle In terms of flow. You pick your protein, toppings and what not, and it's assembled down the line. Flavor was good. I wouldn't say it was over the top. Food was super fresh, guacamole was tasty. We would def come back the next time we are in town. Great service, good food.

Fresh fresh fresh!!! Had a friend recommend Poppo's and so glad we did! Everything was so fresh and yummy! We had the salads ? with chicken and chips and guacamole ?. The chips were even freshly made and the guacamole was super fresh. They have the best Mango Tea too and I'm not even tea person.
