Bidrage med feedbackSadly confirmed for second time it?s not as good as under previous head chef in 2010. We ordered three appetizers, which were the best part, the omakase 15, and a few à la carte items, for lunch this past September.
Having been twice, this is arguably one of the best, if not the best, traditional sushi omakase offered in nyc. The decor of the restaurant is simple, but we?ll done. The sushi is next level in terms of quality of fish, rice, and taste. If available, the sake cooked sea bass is incredible melts in your mouth and is perfectly prepared. Highly recommend visiting this staple if you are looking for a traditional Japanese omakase experience.
As someone living in Japanese, the experience was authentic and enjoyable. Although it is somewhat pricey, the food is very good and the fish is high quality. I would definitely come again.
The food was good, the service was good. Was it what we expected from a Michilen Star restuarant? Not at all. When we arrived, on time, for our reservation, we were instructed to wait in the vestibule, which was cold and drafty. The fish was very good eel sashimi and sea bass appetizer were amazing). Given my past experience, I expected more from the service it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great). Was it worth a $400+ pricepoint for 3... not even close. And I'm really sorry it wasn't.
This was the best sushi I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s pricey, but worth it.
