We got the Shunsai Zen monthly special, and as usual all the different dishes were delicious and well presented. The highlights for me were the tempura, duck and soba. We went for my girlfriend's birthday and they gave her a free tempura ice cream ????????

Not the serene and classy zen like dining experience my family had on previous occasions. The room was filled with loud children and parents having no control over them. What used to be an upscale teppanyaki dining experience has become a high priced meal, mediocre at best. I went to the restaurant after the renovation, the decorations inside looks great. The food they serve is premium and flavorful. However, I do think the servers need some more training. For example, if the server accidentally spilled or dropped something on the table, he/she should come back and clean it instead of just leave it as it is. Also, the server did not serve water, we had to request it. In Japanese culture, as a welcoming gesture, iced water should be served
