The Goat By David Burke - Union Beach

We absolutely love the goat! We've visited many times and will definitely return. Tammy was an excellent server.

A marked improvement from last time we were here. We were seated right away. there was a slight hiccup when we were led to the center table near the kitchen/bathroom but the hosted seated us by the window after I pointed out our reservation called for that seating. Carlos, our waiter was great and courteous. This time, we were able to order the specials as compared to last time when by 7:00pm they had run out of one of the entrees for the evening. They also had the wine we ordered, again a bonus from last time. We will be returning.. I wasn't too sure that would be the case going in based on our last experience. Stay tuned ..

The experience wasn't terrible, but there was definitely room for improvement. Firstly, we received our appetizers before our drinks. The meal options were just a bit above average. The drinks were decent, but some of the food was only served lukewarm, not hot. Additionally, they overlooked a key ingredient in our meal, so we had to request it separately. Finally, we had to ask for our check twice.

We had delicious food choices which we eagerly enjoyed. Our waitress was thorough in getting our orders and provided excellent service. I was very disappointed with the condition of the ladies’ restroom. The paper holder was dirty as well as some areas of the tiled walls. Please spend money redoing the room.

The price of the Sangria was outrageous! They charged $52.00 for a pitcher, which is blatant price gouging! Absolutely ridiculous! We won’t be returning to this place.
