This place was super cute! The music was good. It BYOB. Now I had a few concerns. I wasn’t sure what to expect when getting there. I made a reservation online and when I went to modify it, it does not give you the option. So I attempted to call the restaurant and no one answered. I figured because of the time they were closed still. So i proceeded to make a new one and it was rejected. I attempted to call again and yet no answer. We were a party of 8 and I did not want to get there and no seating available. Finally I went through the chat and someone reached out to me. When we arrived the place was empty which that was okay w me it was a Wednesday night. Street parking available and I believe parking in the rear as well. The server was super nice. I didn’t really like how the menu was setup online. As far as drinks we got water and a pitcher of strawberry juice (they were out of passion fruit) juice was like a syrup didn’t like it.Now for the food, I assumed it would be authentic Puerto Rican food and a kick of other Latin dishes for the “fusion”. Being Puerto Rican myself I was disappointed. The garlic shrimp(5) were smothered in oil w garlic and very salty came w two pieces of bread. The ceviche was good had a spicy kick to it comes w chips. The sampler appetizer empanadillas were not good I only liked the guava and cheese. I would say feeds about 2 or 3. As for the entrees, the arroz con gandules was NOT arroz con gandules, that’s what I was most disappointed about it didn’t not look or taste like it at all. I had the mussels and shrimp the sauce was really good, shrimps again were salty. The salmon was good, it just lacked flavored once you bite into it. The pernil was good, my mother enjoyed and said she would have it again. And the picada was pretty big. The tostones were good had the right amount of salt and were huge the Maduros were super soft and sweet and chunky. The mash potato was my favorite, the garlic flavor was perfection.

Not sure where to start. This place was the worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant. I went on a Friday night and the hostess was wearing booty shorts and a crop top. So I was unsure if the place turned into a lounge at night. They made a big deal about not having a reservation, but they only had 2 tables occupied at 830pm. The waitress was trying really hard to be as helpful, but it was obvious she was new so I am not holding her responsibility for my experience. Everything we order was out that day. We ended up having the shrimp ceviche which was good, but it was cooked?????? Also took an hour to come out. For dinner I ended up ordering the skirt steak and when I say it was charred I could taste the burn grill on the steak. What made this worst was the fact that they served it with the burn side down like I was not going taste the char burn steak. I could not eat it. The fish we order was so bland. I ended up going home and warming up left over. They also made the music louder and louder to the point you could not hear yourself think. They also served the table next to us something she advised she was allergic to and the lady started having a reaction. Just an awful experience overall.

Love their food. Super disappointed with the service though. Ordered on doordash, was missing the rice to my rice and beans and when I called to have it rectified, was told that I could come pick it up or get a credit on Doordash instead of trying to rectify the issue and deliver my missing item. Will probably never order delivery from them again, unfortunately bc their food is really good. I understand mistakes happen, but definitely think this could have been handled differently.Update: Received a call back from the owner and they will be dropping off the missing item.
