Herb's Country Deli - UNCASVILLE

I've been dining at Herbs since I was around 5 years old, and it has always been my go-to spot for weekend breakfasts. Now, I bring my family along too, but I just can't wrap my head around paying $26.45 before tax for just 2 slices of pumpkin bread and 2 small turkey sausage patties. That's all my breakfast amounted to this morning! With drinks, tax, and a tip, my total came to $40.00 for one person's meal and two drinks. For that price, you could head to Old Saybrook and enjoy a full upscale buffet by the water, complete with made-to-order meats, a waffle bar, an omelet station, and seafood on ice. It just feels a bit outrageous to me.

Roast beef!!!! And their special homemade potato salad! What a combo! So fresh so delicious. While I waited for it to be made I went next door to their country store. Finally found carrots with their tops still on. Trying to get grandson to eat more vegys so I hope if he pulls them out of the ground himself he will be excited to try them? Will let you know!
