Mexican Food La Carreta - Ucon

I ordered 60 tacos for my class and they All love them, their favorite was al pastor. The people were very friendly, I will definitely go back, the food was amazing and among 16 students there wasn?t a single taco left! 5 ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? . Thankful for giving my students an authentic cultural experience!

The food is pretty good. They use lettuce instead of cabbage, which is more of a preference on my part than a critique on them. It had a good flavor to it, and they have more variety than a lot of the buses/vans do. They cost a little more, but their portions are bigger. I was on the search for some really authentic tostadas, and I think what they have is a smidge on the tex-mex side. But just a smidge. It was still really satisfying. The salsa wasn't really spicy, but I didn't ask for something super spicy and no one is out to kill their customers. They can't know your personal threshold. Overall it was tasty, and a good value.

Great Mexican food from a hospitable family. Everything I had was up to the Dallas standard, including the seviche. Tacos were bomb. Classic street tacos with onions and cilantro, beans and rice. Great salsa too, very cool atmosphere to eat on a bus. I'll be back and add more to the review

I got both carne asada tacos and carnitas tacos. Both were very good with no gristle or big chunks of fat. Good homemade red and verde salsa.

Wanted to try this for a while and it did not disappoint. True authentic cheap Mexican cuisine. If you visit around lunch or dinner time it can get pretty crowded but it's worth the wait. Try to order ahead if you can.
