Bidrage med feedbackI recently visited this restaurant with some friends. We used to come here regularly last summer before the pandemic. There are new owners now, and they have made changes to the menu and specials. Although we missed the Wings night on Tuesdays and found that the serving size of wings was smaller than before, the other food we tried was great. The Parmi special was well-cooked and the portion size was generous. The hot wings tasted like Frank's Hot Sauce, similar to what I would make at home. One friend ordered the Caesar Salad with extra anchovies, but they ended up not getting any. The ribs were perfect for those who ordered them. We felt that the new owners should have stuck to the original menu that is still on the website. Overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we had a great time. Despite a few issues, we would likely return in the future.
Our group of four experienced a lengthy wait at a table meant for five. One member of our party received their meal approximately 10 minutes before the rest of us. The Tavern was bustling with activity, including a large function of 50 people as well as other diners.
We wanted to watch the football game but the front bar was noisy, so we were offered the option to sit upstairs for a quieter experience. The menu stayed the same, but the food was of very good quality.
Food was lovely, though the steak sandwich could have been a little bigger, the fish chips a big step up from our pre-renovation visit. Nice welcome, decor much brighter and fresher now, good work folks!
It was given new years day, but menu items, especially seafood, were limited by heavy masses on the eve. Seems like pòr Stock Control. Hand-cut chips were limp and oily
