Tavern at the Rocks - TWO ROCKS

We have eaten a lunch in this tavern. we ordered the seafood share plate that was $50 on the menu a beer and a wein. we were pleasantly surprised when the bill came to $52. the plate was special for $40. the meal. quickly came out as we enjoy the amazing view over the sea. the fish was delicious, the scallops were perfectly booked. the inkfish was extremely delicate and tasteful. the garnels were well cooked and beautiful and buttery. this is not a place for fine eating, as the eating zone is quite basic, but it is a great place for decent nutrition of seafood.

My family of 11 visited this restaurant for dinner a few nights ago. We sat in the bar area and after waiting for about 30 minutes, we realized we had to order and pay at the cash register when ready. We were not informed of this upon arrival. Eventually, a friendly Maori woman took our orders and apologized for the lack of table service. The food quality was hit or miss, with some dishes being burned or overcooked. The cheeseburger recommended by the waitress was enjoyed. The decor and atmosphere did not match the location by the sea. Overall, our experience was average. The Thursday special prices and our waitress were great. The new and clean restrooms were a plus. The food options were a bit expensive and we were not aware of a children's menu until we ordered.

I am a frequent patron of this restaurant and I always come back for the reasonably priced, generous portions and the cheerful, welcoming staff. I have never had a bad experience here and always leave feeling satisfied.

We (7 people) came for dinner and we couldn’t believe the amazing service, view and food! Got our food within 20 minutes of ordering and we couldn’t fault any of it. Will definitely be coming back!

This place USED TO have the best food, the best service and the best value for money. They have changed owners and has has quite literally hit rock bottom (EXCEPT THE PRICES) the quality and taste of the food is a big thumbs down!
