Yamahana Sushi - Twentynine Palms

I don't know what they're calling salmon sushi but it's not sushi grade salmon. It looks like a dyed whitefish. Doesn't taste or have the consistency of salmon. I ordered 2 salmon items so it was a complete waste of money. You have to prepay at the counter so I couldn't even send it back. Awful.Food: 2/5

Good and fresh sushi. All the roll is delicious, and you can't go wrong with the rawmen or poke bowl. We eats here pretty often i wish the shop was bigger because its pretty cramped... cant blame them because the sushi was so GOOOOOOD!!Food: 5/5

Portion is big! The roll is good. The price is reasonable where you can find such a great food in a super outskirts location. The only thing that I would comment is the Katsu, the pork is not fresh where you can taste a very strong pork smell if you are very particular with it.

The rolls were in order, nothing special. I won't try her roll again. I could try her smoking later.

Small Japanese restaurant in a strip mall but worth the stop. It has 3 clearly marked vegetarian ramen bowls on the menu which has a miso based broth which gives it a creaminess. They can be made vegan if you leave out the egg. Beware, if you ask to make it spicy, it will burn your face off. So good. The edamame and seaweed salad is also vegan. Avocado rolls are pretty good. Take-out but has indoor seating to eat there if wanted.
