Bidrage med feedbackThe disc golf course is pretty good. The hole 5 has an ugly right curve to the end and you can lose your slice in the trees (I almost have). And hole 9 is the widest hole. Its also interlaced with the regular golf course, so pay attention to them when playing.
I love visiting the children on the 29 Palms Marine Corp Base, as I can play this cool golf course. It is not very challenging, there are no sand traps (except the desert), there are no water hazards, and Fairways are quite open. The greens (and fringes) are in amazing form. You're better than greens I play in Destin, FL. As a military pensioner I play this course during the week and most of the time I have the entire 18 holes for me. Great! The views of the surrounding desert and the mountains are worth the green fees alone. Speaking of green fees...normal game for 18 holes was $28 for retired E7. Thursdays, they run a special $20! Not bad. The only case... the heat. Play early and bring plenty of water. One last thing, as someone else publishes, you will find more eggs than you lose. Ha. Bottom line, great place, great staff. Vistas of #11 and #17 Greens are fantastic!
The golf course is well maintained. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to play as much of the course as we want because we're going home this day, but I have no doubt that the whole place is amazing. It wasn't crowded at all and there were many wild animals!
Good desert golf course. Because in the middle of the high desert Desert Winds is quite well maintained. A few dry dusty areas here and there, but overall not bad. Course fees are very reasonable and the course is not too demanding. Great for beginners.
