Bidrage med feedbackMy experience at this restaurant for dinner was disappointing. We ordered a sushi roll with salmon as an appetizer and two noodle dishes for our entrees. The sushi roll had hardly any salmon and was mostly rice. The noodle dishes were decent, but the service was slow.
Wok Roll was a delightful surprise, offering superior Chinese cuisine compared to many other restaurants in Los Angeles. The portions were generous, so consider ordering the half size if available. I would certainly return!
We expected a fusion kitchen which means to have a mix between western and asian cooking styles bit that it was not. It is a restaurant which offers you dishes of different asian countries mostly japanese, chinese thai, korean. All this is eatable but without fantasie or inspiration. It is mostly a restaurant for take away, we were the only guests eating in the restaurant.
I kept hearing about how good this place was, which was unexpected (a Chinese restaurant in a pretty small Costa Rican town?? . Unfortunately, my suspicions were validated. My husband ordered a Pad Thai dish and I ordered something with broccoli and mushrooms. Both dishes were just ok. The seasoning was bland, and they clearly used canned mushrooms, which was a bummer. Nothing horrendous, but we never felt pulled to return during our year in Turrialba. Also the service was incredibly slow even though there was only one other table in the restaurant (they clearly were prioritizing take-out orders . Wish I had nicer things to say.
The service was excellent and our food arrived promptly. My friend enjoyed the chicken curry he ordered. I, however, was not impressed with the pad Thai as it had a strong vinegar taste and smell. It was alright, but not a restaurant I would go out of my way to visit again.
